Employee Relations (ER) Advisor - Salford (On-Site) Location: 310 Broadway, Salford M50 2UE Salary: £26,750.00 Contract: 12 months FTC – 40 hours per week We are looking for a confident and well‑organised ER Advisor to join our Employee Relations Services team based in Salford. You will provide practical, compliant advice to line managers on a wide range of ER matters and support the smooth delivery of ER and TUPE processes. Key Responsibilities Provide ER advice to managers on informal and formal cases, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policy. Respond to escalated ER queries and record all actions accurately in the CSM system. Support with letters, documentation and case administration (checked by Senior ER Advisors). Escalate complex or high‑risk cases to ER Specialists or the ER Services Manager. Guide managers on preparing for and conducting ER meetings. Work with HR Services to ensure accurate logging, redundancy calculations and case allocation. Maintain secure and accurate employee records in line with data protection requirements. Support TUPE processes including due diligence, letters, welcome packs, tracking and liaison with Payroll. Attend TUPE meetings for complex cases when required. Keep up to date with employment legislation and internal policy changes. Essential Skills: Able to provide remote ER support for a multi-site operation Experience of providing HR advice in line with relevant policies and legislation Experience of working on TUPE processes Well organised with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage high volume of case work and queries to meet deadlines Excellent verbal and written skills. The ability to write a clear, understandable and concise manner with excellent attention to detail and an excellent telephone manner Ability to meet deadlines under pressure Understanding of customer requirements and is able to take ownership of problems/issues and recommend practical HR solutions Pro-active and practical approach to problem solving Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality Good working knowledge of current employment legislation and its application in the workplace Understanding of regulatory bodies, governing policies and their impact to ER issues Proficient user of Microsoft Office programmes – strong excel skills CIPD qualified or working towards Desirable Experience in a Shared Service or busy HR environment. Knowledge of HR systems (SAP HR / CRM). Understanding of Agenda for Change.
