Leicester (mainly office based, with some flexibility)
I’m working with a growing SME in Leicester that’s looking to bring in a Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function.
This is a hands on role, reporting into a fractional CFO and working closely with the MD. It’s a business that’s been through a period of change and investment, with solid foundations in place but a real opportunity to improve reporting, visibility and overall financial control.
You’ll be coming into a position where you can genuinely make an impact. The numbers are there, but the insight behind them needs building out. If you enjoy getting stuck into the detail but also stepping back and helping shape decisions, this is that kind of role.
What you’ll be doing
* Full ownership of management accounts, P&L, balance sheet and cashflow
* Building out management packs and improving MI
* Looking at profitability, performance and key drivers across the business
* Partnering with non finance stakeholders to support better decision making
* Improving processes and making better use of systems
* Managing a small finance team
What they’re looking for
* Strong management accounting background, qualified or QBE
* Experience working in an SME environment
* Comfortable operating in a hands on role with real ownership
* Commercial mindset, able to challenge and influence
