We’re looking for an experienced Lead Chef to join our team in Brighton & Hove. This opportunity is for the 2025/26 football season, with both matchday and non-matchday shifts in a fast-paced, innovative catering facility at the stadium.
Role Responsibilities
* Supervise all kitchen staff including CDPs, kitchen porters and kitchen assistants
* Delegate tasks and ensure time-efficient food preparation
* Train and mentor team members as needed
* Lead service in the assigned kitchen, following specs and instructions from the senior chef team
* Plan and manage timelines for food prep, cooking, and service
* Ensure food is hot, fresh, and ready for service at the correct time
The Ideal Candidate
* Calm under pressure: Maintains control and clarity in a high-pressure environment, especially during peak service
* Organisation & efficiency: Able to manage multiple kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and consistent standards
* Culinary expertise: Strong background in high-volume, quality food preparation with a passion for fresh, innovative dishes
* Attention to detail: Delivers food presentation, hygiene, and safety to the highest standards
