Support Worker – Supported Accommodation – Wrexham
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Support Workers to join a new supported accommodation service in the Wrexham area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vital service supporting young people aged 16 to 17 in building resilience, independence, and confidence as they transition into adulthood. The supported accommodation is situated in Rhostyllen, within the region of North Wales, and provides a supportive environment focused on safeguarding, personal development, and community engagement.
Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Wrexham (Rhostyllen region)
Salary: £33,152 – £34,342 per year (dependent on qualifications)
Sleep-ins: £60 per sleep-in (in addition to salary)
About the Role
The Support Worker will be instrumental in fostering positive relationships with young people, assisting them in developing independence skills such as cooking, budgeting, and self-care. The role involves promoting emotional wellbeing through structured routines and daily support, encouraging engagement in education, training, and employment opportunities, and safeguarding young people in accordance with statutory guidance and company policies.
This position requires working as part of a dynamic team to ensure stability within the home while recording keywork sessions and contributing to personalised support planning. The successful candidate will be proactive, resilient, and adaptable, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on young lives.

Person Specification
Candidates should possess a genuine passion for supporting young people in achieving independence. Strong communication, patience, resilience, and teamwork skills are essential. Flexibility to work various shifts—including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins—is required. Prior experience in supported accommodation or residential childcare is desirable but not essential; a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to complete this within set timescales is preferred. Drivers over 25 with relevant experience, such as military backgrounds or activities involving outdoor engagement, are highly desirable, especially for facilitating external activities.
Shift Pattern
* Week 1: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday
* Week 2: Tuesday, Friday, Sunday
* Week 3: Thursday
Shifts run from 9 am to 9:30 pm, with sleeping hours from 11 pm to 7 am included in the package, along with handover periods from 7 am to 9:30 am. The salary for this full-time role is approximately £34,000 per annum, inclusive of sleep-in allowances.
