Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various routes. This role requires a valid commercial driving licence and experience in general haulage operations is highly desirable. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of our cargo.
Responsibilities
* Operate Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
* Conduct pre-trip & post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition at all times
* Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of materials for transport.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
* Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.
* Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively at all times.
What We're Looking For:
* Valid C+E HGV Class 1 licence
* Minimum 12 months of proven driving experience
* Aged over 30
* Up to date driver CPC & digital tachograph card
* Good UK geographical Knowledge
* No more than 6 penalty points on licence
* A CAN-DO attitude, Willingness to learn, and work as part of a team
* Moffett experience preferred but not essential as training can be given to the right candidate
