1:1 Support Assistant

Milk Education Liverpool is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school to recruit a dedicated 1:1 Support Assistant. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people and making a real difference in the classroom.
The Role:
As a 1:1 Support Assistant, you will work closely with a secondary school student, providing tailored academic and emotional support to help them engage with learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 support to a pupil in and out of the classroom
2. Assist with lesson engagement, organisation, and behaviour support
3. Support students with additional needs (e.g. SEN, SEMH, ASD, or learning difficulties)
4. Work collaboratively with teachers and the SEN team
5. Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
6. Experience working with secondary‑aged students (school, tutoring, youth work, or similar)
7. Patient, reliable, and confident supporting individual learning needs
8. Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
9. A genuine passion for education and student wellbeing
10. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
