We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Class Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Redbridge. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated practitioner to support pupils at the start of their Key Stage 2 journey and to contribute positively to a collaborative and forward-thinking school community.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 3 class and will be expected to deliver high-quality teaching across the curriculum in line with the National Curriculum. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that build on pupils’ prior learning, promote independence, and foster a love of learning. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining high expectations for achievement, behaviour, and presentation, while ensuring that all pupils feel supported and valued.
You will work closely with colleagues across the school to ensure continuity and progression in learning, particularly supporting pupils as they transition from Key Stage 1 into Key Stage 2. Effective use of assessment to inform planning and identify next steps will be essential, as will the ability to differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL.
This role is suitable for both Early Career Teachers and experienced teachers. ECTs will benefit from a structured induction programme, regular mentoring, and access to high-quality professional development. Experienced teachers will be encouraged to share best practice and contribute to curriculum development and wider school improvement initiatives.
