Content Localization Manager (German) · London · Hybrid · Base + Equity
A fast-scaling UK consumer fintech is expanding into European markets and needs someone to make sure every word they publish in those markets actually works culturally, commercially, and creatively.
They already partner with some of the world's biggest brands. Now they're pushing hard into Germany and beyond, and they need the person who builds the engine that gets them there.
What is essential for this role is that you are fluent in German. That is the foundation everything else is built on there is no German-speaking capability in the business right now, and this market is the priority. Candidates without German will not be considered.
Any French ability in addition to German is a bonus. The roadmap goes further than Germany.
The opportunity
This business moves quickly. The product is live, the partnerships are real, and the expansion is already underway. What they don't have is anyone in-house who can own how this lands in new markets.
You'll be the bridge between their product and their global audience. That means owning the end-to-end localisation of their app, website, partner content, and marketing materials not just checking translations but ensuring everything resonates the way it should for the market it's speaking to.
You'll sit at the intersection of product and marketing, working with both teams daily. No one ahead of you in this space. No existing process to inherit. You're building it.
What you'll own
* The end-to-end localisation of the app, website, and all marketing content
* Quality control across every localised touchpoint tone, accuracy, cultural relevance
* The localisation workflow and tooling, including TMS governance and translation memory
* UX copy in Figma alongside the product team
* Adapting co-branded partner content for each market
* Post-launch audits and performance monitoring of localised assets
About You
Beyond the language, you have a genuine instinct for copy. You know when something reads correctly but doesn't feel right for the audience it's written for. You've worked somewhere that moved fast and expected quality — a tech business, a fintech, a consumer app that was scaling quickly and didn't have the luxury of getting localisation wrong.
You understand that this is not a translation role. It's a content and localisation role that requires both language depth and editorial judgement.
