Job Coach: Pre and Supported Internships x3
Location: Rotherham (with subsidised travel to a range of employer sites)
Salary: GBP 25,090 per annum
The Role
As a Job Coach, you will support learners with High Needs and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHC Plans) studying on the Pre and Supported Internship Programmes. Your role involves supporting young people during placements with employers, facilitating their transition and progress into sustained and paid employment.
You will believe in young people's ability and right to work, providing in-work instruction and support within the employer setting. You will also help develop their independent travel skills and gradually taper support as they become familiar with their roles, including aspects like timekeeping, health and safety, and dress code.

You will ensure all parties involved in placements—employers, curriculum staff, and learners—have clear expectations by following policies and processes.

Skills and Qualifications
* Experience supporting young people or vulnerable adults with additional needs, including emotional, behavioral, learning difficulties, or disabilities.
* Ability to plan, prepare, and implement support programs and assessments, with understanding of safeguarding processes.
* High professionalism, good communication skills, accurate record-keeping, empathy, and flexibility to meet diverse needs.
* Hold or be working towards Maths and English Level 2 (or equivalent), and willingness to pursue the Occupational Standard for Supported Employment.
Department Info
The Job Coach role is based within the FLEXible Curriculum Area, reporting to the Curriculum Team Leader and working closely with the Curriculum Manager.
