RJC has partnered with a Global energy trader to diversify their portfolio and better suit changing demand. This role focuses on trading activities in U.S. gas and power markets, leveraging European fundamentals to identify opportunities in North American hubs.
The Role
Looking for a Gas & Power Forward Trader with European market experience to trade speculative positions in U.S. gas and power markets. Join a growing desk and bring your knowledge to a high-impact environment. You will leverage your understanding of European fundamentals to identify directional and relative value opportunities across North American hubs.
Key Responsibilities
* Trade U.S. natural gas and power forwards with a speculative focus.
* Develop and execute directional and relative value strategies.
* Monitor market drivers (weather, supply/demand, congestion, regulations).
* Work closely with analysts and risk teams to refine and manage positions.
Requirements
* 3+ years’ trading experience in European gas/power markets (e.g. TTF, EEX, NBP).
* Strong grasp of energy fundamentals; speculative trading experience preferred.
* Quantitative skills and proficiency with market tools.
* Familiarity with U.S. hubs (e.g. Henry Hub, PJM, ERCOT) a plus.
