Finance Administrator (Part-Time)
Location: Worcester
Salary: £18, per annum (£28, FTE)
Hours: 24 hours per week (flexible across 4 days, Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00)
Hewett Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established and values-driven organisation in the search for a Finance Administrator.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and motivated team within a company that works in partnership with local authorities to deliver Technology Enabled Care (TEC) solutions.

As Finance Administrator, you will take ownership of Private Pay subscriptions, ensuring accurate setup, billing and debtor management. You will also support the wider team with financial administration while ensuring compliance with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) best practice.
Key responsibilities include:
Financial Administration
1. Accurately inputting and managing orders within internal systems
2. Ensuring telecare referrals and funding details are correctly recorded
3. Producing accurate monthly BACS exports within required timescales
4. Completing VAT invoicing promptly
5. Managing BACS failures and contacting payers to resolve issues
6. Raising debtor invoices and proactively following up outstanding payments
7. Processing cancellations, ensuring equipment recovery and financial adjustments are completed
8. Cancelling direct debits in line with notification periods
9. Supporting new business activity, including conversions from maintained to private pay
10. Providing data support for FCA and VAT audits
Operational & Customer Support
11. Handling inbound calls professionally and logging issues accurately
12. Keeping customer records up to date with relevant documentation
13. Reviewing monthly monitoring reports to ensure accurate status reporting
14. Following telecare procedures in line with TSA requirements
15. Supporting the wider administration team as required
This is a varied role requiring flexibility, strong organisation and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and confident administrator with strong financial awareness and excellent customer service skills.
You will have:
16. Experience working in a busy customer service environment (essential)
17. Strong IT skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and database systems
18. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
19. Confident numeracy skills (including calculating monies owed and direct debit adjustments)
20. Experience handling customer queries and complaints
21. The confidence to contact customers regarding outstanding payments
22. A professional, assertive and personable communication style
23. The ability to multitask and meet deadlines
