Head of Product – B2B AI Start-up - £100-130k + Equity – Remote (Southeast England)
This Head of Product / Founding Product Manager / Lead Product Manager opportunity is with a superstar group of tech founders who are solving the problem of AI adoption and learning, across every work discipline and job type. The platform they’re building will help organisations and their staff to understand, learn, incorporate and optimise leading edge AI tools, of every type, to make their work easier, more productive and higher quality.
They’re well-funded and pre-product, expecting first revenue in a few months. This Founding Product Manager will build and rapidly iterate their platform, taking them through launch, enhancement and hyper scaling. They’ll initially target mid-market, moving into enterprise as then gain momentum.
This is a remote UK role, with regular team meetings in the Southeast / London area. There will be London office over time (1-2 years away).
The Head of Product / Founding Product Manager / Lead Product Manager will:
* Own the end-to-end product roadmap, prioritising ruthlessly against commercial milestones (MVP launch, 5,000+ users, 20 company accounts, £500k ARR in year one)
* Translate the founding team’s vision into a structured, shippable product plan across all four platform pillars: Learning Platform & Sandbox, AI Companion, AI Engine, and Community
* Make hard trade-off decisions on sequencing — what gets built first, what waits, and why
* Define success metrics tied to real capability outcomes, not vanity metrics. Measure verification, not just completion
* Lead user research across target personas: knowledge workers, L&D buyers, and enterprise decision-makers in professional services
* Design the Learn → Apply → Prove capability loop — ensuring every stage generates meaningful signals that feed back into the user’s capability profile
* Work with our learning science and psychology advisors to translate cognitive science principles (spaced repetition, retrieval practice, elaborative interrogation) into product features that actually drive retention and transfer
* Define the AI Companion experience — how it coaches users in real-time, captures capability signals, and flags risk (hallucination, privacy, compliance, reputational)
* Partner with engineering to scope, spec, and ship features in tight cycles. Write clear specs, not just user stories
* Own the AI content engine product requirements — how curriculum auto-updates as LLMs evolve, ensuring nothing goes stale
* Build and iterate on the freemium-to-paid conversion funnel (free basic training → paid per-seat subscription)
* Define enterprise features: skills analytics dashboards, team readiness scoring, deployment analytics, and manager-facing capability views
* Collaborate on PLG strategy, content marketing, and founder-network seeding to hit early growth targets
* Shape the product narrative for both B2B buyers (“infrastructure that turns AI from risk to competitive advantage”) and end-users (“career differentiation in the AI era”)
* Help build the business case for enterprise sales: measurable productivity uplift, reduced attrition, compliance audit trails, and AI adoption analytics
Required experience:
* Very strong hands-on product management, with demonstrable experience owning product strategy through to delivery.
* Significant experience building products in education, edtech, L&D, or professional training — ideally in the UK market.
* Track record of shipping AI/ML-powered features: personalisation, adaptive learning, recommendation engines, content generation, or similar.
* Experience at early-stage or high-growth companies where you built the process, not just followed it. You’ve been a founding or early PM before, or operated with that level of ownership.
