About Us: The NCCHT team is a dynamic, cross-functional group working on one of the Trust's most exciting projects. We are dedicated to building the infrastructure to transform the National Centre for Child Health Technology (NCCHT) into a commercially viable organisation, expanding its reach and influence.
The Role: You will lead the development of the commercial strategy for the NCCHT. You will help identify business opportunities, establish partnerships, and ensure the infrastructure is in place to support these collaborations.
About You: You are a skilled negotiator with experience in commercial strategy development, legal processes, and finance. You have strong communication skills and experience building successful partnerships and securing business opportunities. You bring a mix of strategic vision and practical expertise to drive the success of the NCCHT.
Main Duties of the Job
Reporting to the Development Director, your responsibilities will include:
1. Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with NCCHT's goals.
2. Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand the Centre's reach and revenue.
3. Act as a liaison between the Trust and potential commercial partners.
4. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to develop contracts.
5. Work with clinical and safeguarding teams to develop protocols for commercial partners.
6. Collaborate with finance, HR, and procurement to ensure infrastructure supports commercial partnerships.

Person Specification
Qualifications & Training
* Degree plus training equivalent to postgraduate level plus experience as set out below.
Experience
* Experience in developing and implementing commercial strategies.
* Experience of designing or undertaking research, development or strategic activities to inform or produce change.
* Experience working with legal and procurement teams to develop contracts and other legal documents.
* Experience collaborating with finance colleagues to develop financial strategies and monitor performance metrics.
* Experience managing complex projects, timelines, budgets, and resources.
* Experience engaging with senior management, stakeholders, and external partners.
* Experience in the health technology or related sectors.
* Experience of working in transformation projects in innovation and research.
Knowledge & Skills
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards to ensure ethical business practices.
* Ability to draw out simple, accurate messages from complex material, and convey these in a coherent and persuasive way.
* Ability to develop and implement commercial strategies that align with organisational goals.
* Strong skills in identifying and securing new business opportunities and partnerships.
* Understanding of legal and procurement processes, financial metrics, and costing strategies.
