Commercial and Contract Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial and Contract Manager to oversee the tendering, contract management, and supply chain processes for a dynamic project. The role involves working closely with engineering and package management teams to ensure successful project execution, cost savings, and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tendering and Contract Award Process:
* Lead the tendering process with Package Manager and Engineering teams.
* Oversee commercial aspects of tenders, including contract conditions.
* Manage prequalification processes aligning with project requirements.
* Engage stakeholders to match tender and contract terms with scope.
* Benchmark and assess tender offers for competitiveness.
* Lead pricing negotiations with bidders.
* Represent negotiation teams and manage discussions.
* Coordinate with Legal teams on tendering issues.
* Evaluate tender bids and collaborate on contract awards.
1. Contract Management:
* Manage contractor claims and variations.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities via value engineering.
* Maintain contractual obligation registers.
* Oversee contractor payments and liaise with Package Managers.
* Ensure document control compliance and collaborate with finance and legal teams.
* Contribute to risk assessments and mitigation.
* Ensure open-book tendering compliance.
2. Commercial Administration of Projects:
* Achieve commercial objectives and cost savings.
* Prepare and update CAPEX and OPEX forms.
* Support project budget monitoring and reporting.
* Provide commercial insights for progress reports.
3. Supply Chain Management:
* Collaborate to refine and submit Supply Chain Plans.
* Represent the organization externally, fostering supplier relationships.
