An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our Medicines Governance & Safety Team.
As the Pharmacy Technician – Medicines Governance & Safety, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safe and effective medication practices within our organization. You will play a key role in the Pharmacy Medicines Governance and Safety team in delivering the technical aspects of the Medicines Safety agenda across the Trust. Clinical element to provide patient care at ward level is also part of the role. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care and safety.
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in Medicines Governance and Safety background and substantial experience in pharmacy practice. The ideal candidate should have a understanding of regulatory compliance, governance, medication safety and PSIRF. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with various healthcare professionals and stakeholders. The ability to work as a team player is crucial.

Main duties of the job
1. The post holder will be responsible for supporting with and / or delivering of the technical aspects of the Medicines Governance & Safety service for Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) NHS Foundation Trust, under the management of the Medication Safety Officer.
2. To assist with the delivery and development of the technical aspects of medicines management across the directorates.
3. To support the Medicines Governance & Safety team in the planning, development, and implementation of the Medicines Governance & Safety initiatives across the Trust.
4. To support the Medicines Advice Service in the maintenance and development of a safe and efficient Medicines Advice Service. This includes enquiry answering, database searching and maintenance / development of systems.
5. To participate in the provision of Pharmacy services across the organisation.
