Job Title: Ofsted Registered Manager – Solo EBD Children's Home Location: Solihull Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 per annum Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent We are working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced and dedicated Ofsted Registered Manager to lead a brand-new solo provision for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), based in Solihull. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a new service and shape it from the ground up, with full support from a committed and experienced senior leadership team. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the Residential Children’s Home in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies, and the home’s Statement of Purpose. * Lead, support, and guide staff to provide outstanding care and achieve positive outcomes for the young person. * Continuously assess the needs of the child and ensure services are tailored to meet those needs. * Participate in the recruitment, vetting, and induction of new staff. * Foster positive relationships with staff, young people, and all external stakeholders. * Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams and commissioning bodies to meet care requirements. * Promote professionalism and ethical practice across the team, offering coaching and support. * Support performance management and appraisals of residential staff. * Organise duty rotas to ensure the consistent delivery of care. * Manage budgets and adhere to the company’s financial procedures. * Uphold safeguarding and equality principles at all times. * Be the key contact for regulatory organisations and inspection bodies. * Ensure all documentation is completed to a high standard for regulatory review. * Promote therapeutic, respectful relationships between staff, young people, and families. * Participate in the on-call rota as required. * Contribute to wider corporate and management activities as directed. * Undertake additional responsibilities as requested by the Directors. * Ensure all staff operate in line with Health and Safety regulations and promote a safe working culture. Essential Criteria: * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards this qualification. * Minimum of three years’ experience at a senior level within the social care or health sector. * Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and safeguarding practices. * Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams in a residential care setting.
