SEN Learning Support Assistant
Location: Cosham
Salary Scale: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour

About the Role:
Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable children or young people? Do you have experience working with hard-to-reach individuals and want to be part of a welcoming school community? If so, GSL Education are partnering with a well-regarded specialist school in Cosham, looking for a caring and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
SEN Learning Support Assistant Role:
1. Provide one-to-one support to a specific student with learning needs.
2. Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans.
3. Collaborate with teachers, Special Education Coordinators, and other professionals to support the student effectively.
4. Foster a positive and supportive relationship with the student to promote their well-being and engagement.
5. Monitor and track the student's progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents as needed.
6. Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a holistic support system.
Requirements for the SEN Learning Support Assistant Role:
1. Willingness to work with students in a one-on-one setting and in small groups who have learning difficulties.
2. The capability to arrange educational activities based on student proficiency with assistance from a teacher.
3. Right to work in the UK.
4. Development of social skills and assistance with individual needs.
5. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Providing counselling and academic help.
7. Experience working with young individuals with special needs is preferred.

2. Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
3. Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
