Bailey of Bristol is the UK’s longest established independent leisure vehicle manufacturer with over 75 years’ experience in caravan, motorhome and campervan production and design. During this period, their family-owned business has grown to become the Nation’s Favourite brand with more of their vehicles on the road than any other.
The Role
Based on site in Bristol, the Group FP&A Manager will be responsible for leading an FP&A function for a c. £135m turnover multi-site family business, with a key focus on budgeting and forecasting processes, as well as leading the small team of business partners. It will be vital to challenge stakeholders across the business to ensure the business remains commercially astute.
About you
This opportunity will suit a curious, qualified accountant with several years post-qualified experience in commercial/partnering roles. You will have worked in a growing business in the manufacturing and/or retail/consumer trading sectors and be comfortable challenging stakeholders at all levels within an operational environment.
As a Group FP&A Manager your role will include but not be limited to:
* Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, identifying any potential areas for improvement;
* Manage the financial reporting and analysis tools;
* Develop and implement appropriate commercial, operational and financial KPIs across the business;
* Construct and manage the annual budget and longer-term financial planning models;
* In conjunction with the Group Financial Controller, deliver actionable monthly management packs to agreed deadlines;
* Take a collaborative approach to all parts of the business with the aim of driving cost efficiency and profitability analysis;
* Develop and implement a mechanism for determining investment choices (capital and revenue);
* Develop and implement post investment appraisal processes;
* Develop a financial process to dovetail with a corporate strategy process;
* Manage a team of business partners who support the wider business in all aspects of finance.
