Job Title: SENDCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) Location: Bridgwater, Somerset Contract: Full-time, Permanent (Term-time only) Salary: Competitive, based on experience About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate SENDCO to lead and coordinate provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in an Outstanding special school. This is a pivotal leadership role, ensuring that every learner receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities Oversee the strategic development of SEND provision across the school. Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and statutory requirements. Lead the identification, assessment, and review of students' needs, including EHCP processes. Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to deliver high-quality interventions. Provide training and guidance to staff on inclusive practices and differentiation. Monitor and evaluate the impact of SEND provision and report to senior leadership.
