The Role
As a Resident Engineer, you’ll be the on-site technical lead, ensuring specialist test equipment is operating at its best. You’ll carry out fault diagnosis, repairs, calibration, and system support while keeping downtime to a minimum.
Diagnose and repair test equipment faults on-site
Support commissioning and ongoing operation of test systems
Produce calibration records, technical reports, and risk assessments
Log and escalate issues using specialist software tools
Represent the company professionally, building strong customer relationships
About You
HND or higher in mechatronics, automotive, or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience)
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
PLC knowledge advantageous
Able to work independently under pressure
Excellent communication skills, team player, flexible approach
Full UK driving licence
