The Opportunity
As Finance Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the business. Reporting to the Group CFO and working closely with the Managing Director, you will be a true business partner, providing commercial insight, operational challenge and financial leadership to support growth, performance and value creation.
This is a role for someone who is comfortable being hands‑on when required, while also setting direction, raising standards and building a high‑impact finance function.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as strategic finance partner to the MD and leadership team, supporting business transformation
* Drive financial performance, challenge assumptions and ensure alignment with group strategy
* Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring robust controls, governance and compliance
* Own budgeting, forecasting, long‑term planning and monthly reporting
* Deliver meaningful KPIs, commercial insights and decision support
* Take ownership of manufacturing costing, pricing, margins and inventory
* Manage working capital, cash, capital investment returns and efficiency initiatives
* Oversee local statutory, tax and audit requirements
* Support change initiatives, including systems and process improvements
About You
* Fully qualified accountant with significant senior finance experience
* Strong background in manufacturing and distribution, ideally multi‑site
* Commercially astute, resilient and confident challenging at SLT level
* Comfortable operating in a PE‑backed or fast‑paced environment
* Hands‑on leader who enjoys being close to the operation and visible on the shop floor
* Skilled at translating finance for non‑finance stakeholders
* Curious, pragmatic and effective even where data or systems are evolving
