Senior Autism Practitioner – South West Area Services
Full‑time position, 37 hours per week. Pay starts at £33,921 and may increase to £36,344 over time. Reference: SA1097.
Role
As the Senior Autism Practitioner you will ensure the successful delivery of each person’s service across the South West Area Services. You will lead a team of dedicated Autism Practitioners, inspiring them to provide consistent, high‑quality support. You will coach and mentor staff, collaborating closely with families, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement support plans that help individuals succeed in their daily lives. You will also take an active role in recruitment to strengthen the team. About You
* Experience in a supervisory and/or management role within social care
* Demonstrable experience supporting autistic people
* Experience coaching and mentoring colleagues
* Health and social care qualification, or willingness to gain an SVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care and Leadership and Management for Care Services (LMC) provided by the organisation
* Good IT literacy, including MS Word and Excel
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and regular on‑call support
