Real Estate Property Claims Handler - Casualty

We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Real Estate Property Claims Handler with expertise in Casualty to join our clients market-leading Real Estate team. This role is based in the Glasgow office and offers a hybrid working model, blending in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work.
The Role:
As a Property Claims Handler, you will be integral to our clients operations, focusing on the desktop handling of both UK and European Casualty Real Estate Claims. This includes Public Liability claims related to injury and third-party property damage. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining our clients reputation for outstanding customer service and expert claims handling.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Handle UK and European Real Estate Casualty Claims using desktop techniques
* Manage communications through emails, telephone calls, video calls, and other correspondence to progress claims and resolve queries efficiently
* Control the lifecycle of files, ensuring proactive handling and effective diary management
* Liaise with insured parties, insurers, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure optimal service delivery
* Collaborate with both our UK and European Casualty Adjusters and Account Management Teams
* Maintain rigorous standards in time reporting, billing, data capture, and MI production, both for clients and internal use
* Uphold company standards across all technical and operational policies, including data protection and information security
* Engage in account management and invoicing activities
About You - Knowledge and Experience:
* A minimum of 3-4 years' experience in handling Casualty Claims, specifically Public Liability involving injury and third-party property damage
* Proficiency in managing a full caseload of claims from inception to conclusion
* Familiarity with UK claims protocols, including the low value claims portal
* Experience in desktop investigations to determine policy coverage, reserves, and legal liability
* Ability to produce detailed reports and formal advice for clients
* A self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a desire for technical progression
* Excellent client account management skills and the ability to meet specific targets related to SLAs, hours charged, and fee income
* Team-oriented but also capable of working independently
* Additional European language skills (Spanish, French, German, Italian) would be advantageous
* Holding or working towards a professional claims qualification is desirable
