Overview
Opportunity for a Design Manager in Macclesfield to join the Life Science team. The Design Manager will report into the project team, fully understanding and managing the design requirements of the tender/project, and providing assistance and guidance to design coordinators where appropriate. This is a 5-year framework for small works ranging from £300k to £4m. The role is on-site, working alongside the Sisk framework team and client framework team.

Responsibilities
* Manage design consultants, sub-consultants, and design sub-contractors to ensure correct and timely delivery of all design-related information for the execution of the works on site.
* Manage design coordinators and act as a mentor for them on involved projects.
* Input into the Employer's Requirements/Contractor Proposal Compatibility.
* Manage and assist the Design Coordinator during the construction phase.
* Chair and minute design meetings, ensuring production of information aligns with the design.
Experience
* Experience in project development from RIBA Stage 2 to 7, with multiple projects running concurrently.
* Experience with fit-out/remodeling works on pharmaceutical projects.
* Knowledge of NEC Contracts.
* Background in architectural or MEP design.
* Knowledge of life science, manufacturing, or assembly processes.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Experience using View Point for Projects (4Projects).
Qualifications
* Degree in a construction-related discipline.
* Minimum of six years’ experience in the construction industry.
