You will work in a dynamic school environment, supporting children with Autism and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities This role offers invaluable hands-on experience for those pursuing careers in educational psychology, social work, or other related fields. You will provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them to engage in their learning and personal development in a nurturing and structured environment. Psychology Graduate Key Responsibilities: * Provide tailored support to students with Autism, learning difficulties and other SEND. * Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. * Promote students’ emotional, social, and academic progress through engaging activities and positive reinforcement. * Collaborate with teachers and professionals to deliver inclusive teaching methods. * Support students with personal care needs (training provided as necessary). * Observe and monitor student progress, maintaining detailed records and reporting to teachers and parents. * Contribute to a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes inclusion. Psychology Graduate Requirements: * A degree in Psychology (or a related field) is highly advantageous but not essential. * Experience working with children or young people with Autism or SEND is desirable but not required. * A genuine passion for supporting children with additional learning needs. * Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. * Patience, empathy, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. * A current enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
