Design & Technology (DT) Teacher – Permanent (September 2026 Start)
Stevenage, Hertfordshire Full-time | Permanent £32,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
REED Education are pleased to be working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated “Outstanding” secondary school in Stevenage to recruit a creative and committed Design & Technology Teacher for a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2026.
The School
This high-achieving secondary school is well known for its excellent academic standards, outstanding behaviour, and supportive senior leadership team. The DT department is well-resourced and plays a key role in fostering creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills across the curriculum.
The Role
The school is seeking an enthusiastic DT Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 desirable but not essential. Specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering are welcome. You will join a collaborative department that values innovation, consistency, and real-world application.
The Ideal Candidate
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – preferred but not essential
* Strong subject knowledge within Design & Technology
* Experience teaching DT at secondary level
* Unqualified teachers with relevant teaching experience or strong industry/technical backgrounds will be considered
* A passion for practical learning and inspiring creativity in students
