The Vacancy

Are you a Registered Nurse interested in a role supporting young adults with life-limiting or complex health conditions?

Would you like to work in a purpose-built, friendly, and supportive environment where person-centred care, independence, and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do?

We are looking for motivated and compassionate nurses to join our growing Young Adult Service. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a specialist team delivering holistic, high-quality care to young people with a range of palliative conditions and / or complex health needs.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will:

* Provide safe, effective, and person-centred care to young adults within our purpose-built Young Adult Unit and community settings.
* Coordinate and deliver individualised care plans, working in partnership with young adults, families, and external professionals.
* Mentor, train and assess the competence of Care Support Workers
* Act as a keyworker for a small group of young adults, ensuring continuity of care and advocacy.
* Participate in service development, audits, and educational activities to help grow and improve our service.
* Liaise with professionals across health and social care to ensure integrated, high-quality support.
* A role where no 2 days are the same; you may be supporting on a community outing, taking care of a young adult during a seizure, or developing your leadership skills by coordinating a shift.

What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from you if you are:

* A Registered Nurse (RN Adult / RNLD) with current NMC registration and post qualifying experience.
* Passionate about delivering care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
* A team player with strong communication, coordination, and mentoring skills.
* Confident acting as a professional role model and supporting a developing workforce.

Why Join Dougie Mac?

At Dougie Mac, we believe in caring for our team as much as we do for the young adults and families we support. You'll be part of a passionate, collaborative team who live our CARE values every day – Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.

As a Dougie Mac employee, you'll also enjoy:

* 35 days annual leave, rising with length of service
* Buy and sell annual leave options
* Hospice-paid Healthcare Cash Plan
* A competitive Pension Scheme
* DBS check paid for by the hospice
* Learning & Development opportunities tailored to your goals
