1. Exercise of general professional duties
2. A teacher who is not a principal shall carry out professional duties as required, under the reasonable direction of the principal or the employing authority.
Exercise of particular duties
Teachers shall perform duties reasonably assigned by the principal or the employing authority, including planning, teaching, assessing, reporting, and participating in school activities.
Specific Responsibilities
1. Planning
2. Developing courses and lessons; teaching pupils; assessing and recording progress.

2. Promoting pupils' development; providing guidance; communicating with parents and external bodies; participating in meetings.
1. Assessment/Reporting
2. Contributing to assessments, reports, and references for pupils.
1. Staff Development
2. Participating in staff development; reviewing teaching methods; contributing to course development.
1. Discipline/Health and Safety
2. Maintaining discipline; safeguarding health and safety; participating in school meetings.
1. Public Examinations
2. Preparing pupils for examinations; assessing and reporting; supervising during exams.
1. Management Activities/Administration
2. Contributing to staff appointments; managing other teachers; participating in curriculum and pastoral management; handling administrative tasks.
1. Working Hours
2. Availability for 195 days per year; performing duties as specified by the principal; adhering to weekly hours and break regulations.
Other duties may be assigned as appropriate.

Section 1 - Essential Criteria
* Qualifications: Recognized teaching qualification, degree Level 6 in Mathematics, registered with GTCNI.
* Experience: At least 5 months of teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and 4.
Section 2 - Additional Essential Criteria
* Knowledge of curriculum, safeguarding, SEND; IT skills; assessment methods.
* Skills: Effective teaching, classroom management, collaboration, communication.
* Values: Reflecting the school’s ethos and values.
Section 3 - Desirable Criteria
* Experience in teaching Further Mathematics and A Level Mathematics; teaching pupils for whom English is not first language.
