We are seeking a Junior QA Engineer to ensure the quality and security of APIs. The role involves testing for functionality, performance, and security vulnerabilities, including identifying and reporting defects in integrations and cloud services. The Junior QA Engineer will collaborate with development teams to define test cases and acceptance criteria, validate input handling and edge cases, and ensure robust access controls and secure data handling. Additionally, the role includes performing load and performance testing, maintaining test scripts, and ensuring compliance with security best practices in an Agile environment. Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Developers, BAs, Product Owners) to understand requirements and contribute to test coverage. Design and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications, APIs, and backend systems. Support the development and maintenance of automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Playwright, or REST-assured. Assist in validating end-to-end workflows on platforms such as Pega, ensuring business rules, integrations, and case lifecycle are working as expected. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Log and track defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps, and follow up on timely resolutions. Support integration of test scripts into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps/Infrastructure teams. Perform regression, smoke, and exploratory testing as needed. Help maintain test documentation and contribute to QA best practices and knowledge sharing. Learn and apply testing techniques for cloud-based environments (AWS/Azure), including validating configurations and deployments. Test API endpoints for edge cases, validation handling, and error responses. Gain exposure to basic security testing practices, including input validation and data protection in cloud-based solutions. Required experience: 1-2 years of experience in software testing, including test automation. Working knowledge of a programming language such as Java, JavaScript, or C#. Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in test frameworks. Hands-on experience with at least one automation tool (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, REST-assured). Familiarity with API testing, using tools like Postman or automation libraries. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or AWS pipelines). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good written and verbal communication skills.
