We are recruiting highly motivated staff with a patient-focused approach to join our Broomfield Theatres team as a Health Care Assistant (HCA).
This role requires an enthusiastic, committed, and diligent individual who is eager to move into a specialist department. The successful candidate must be able to work within a dynamic team and strive to maintain the high standards of care offered to our patients. An on-call commitment is required to cover out-of-hours working.
Opportunities for career progression are available. Initially, you will start in a Band 2 position; upon completion of your competencies and the healthcare certificate, you will be eligible for a Band 3 position.

As a member of the Care Team, you will assist qualified staff in delivering a caring, effective, patient-focused service in line with the Trust's aims, objectives, and standards. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting with maintaining a safe care environment, including preparing and clearing rooms/theatres and equipment, with reference to infection control and safety standards.
2. Providing sensitive and appropriate clinical care under guidance from qualified staff, respecting personal dignity and beliefs.
3. Handling and exchanging information with care, accuracy, and sensitivity, maintaining patient confidentiality.
4. Ensuring effective communication within the care team and with patients, relatives, and visitors.
