RESPONSIBILITIES: Within a lamp project this position leads all electronics and electrical development activities (as a Sub-System of the lamp), i.e. LED electronics, wire harnesses, LED drivers and Controls for Head- and Rear-Lamps). Customer technical key contact for electronics and electrical subsystem Analyze project requirements (customer and internal) and develop and maintain the 'electronics' time schedule according the customer project milestones, the lamp schedule and release plan and ensure a successful product launch Is responsible for mechanical BOM release & updates. Define, plan and track work packages for all electronics disciplines (System Design, HW design, SW design, System validation, HW validation, SW validation, ECAD, MCAD) Organize technical reviews of work products (designs, architecture, requirements, test plans, test reports). Support lamp technical design reviews (TDR) of the given project - on request also participate in other project reviews. Apply project change, defect and risk management in accordance to the development process to comply with automotive SPICE requirements. Track Electronics Product BOM- and engineering-cost to maintain or reach profitability Support customer presentations and discussions and present technical content of quotations or development results Consultation of the customer when implementing technical requirements and agree on technical solutions. Identify and track internal or external changes. Assure compliance and maintenance of processes according to automotive standards - specifically ASPICE and ISO26262 Cooperates at creation of DFMEA, CAE plan, DV plan, component test and certification in compliance with the CDP/VPDS/VBOS, customer specifications as well as legal requirements. Actively works within the team to support successful DV/PV and delivery of PPAP on time. Scouts for innovation opportunities, cost optimizations and actively participates in DCRM sessions and participates in their implementation in the project. Support project quotations with technical reviews and effort estimations Performs other activities as required. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT(S): Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S): More than 3 years of professional experience in automotive electrical engineering Practical experience in project management in automotive electronic products (hardware or software) High degree of organizational skills and self-motivation Availability for occasional national or international business-travel to meet with customers, suppliers and other development- and production sites Practical experience and know-how in usage of following tools (e.g. MS-Office, MS-Project, IBM RTC, DOORS, Rhapsody, SYSML, UML…) High degree of cost consciousness Very good communication skills and teamwork As a responsible company, Plastic Omnium pays particular attention to diversity and equality within its teams and the Group commits to treat all job applications equally.
