Permanent, full time, 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE) Band 5 - £37,174 to £41,671 per annum About the Post The Senior International Officer will: Work to grow the number of high quality undergraduate and postgraduate student enrolments from key overseas markets to the University’s campus in Ipswich. Represent the University overseas through regular overseas trips, working to an agreed schedule, which will involve attending recruitment fairs, delivering presentations in schools and meeting student recruitment agency partners, undertaking conversion work arising from these trips. The successful candidate will provide support and guidance to in-country student recruitment staff representing the University, building relationships locally and managing enquiries about university programmes, entry requirements and admissions policies. Motivate the University’s network of student recruitment agents to achieve international recruitment objectives. Work closely with the Admissions team to oversee the processing of overseas applications ensuring the University delivers an outstanding applicant experience that meets compliance policies. Work closely with the UKVI Compliance Manager to ensure the University complies with UKVI and Student Route visa requirements, advising other University colleagues as required. Educated to degree or equivalent qualification, the role will suit someone with experience of working in an international student recruitment role, planning international activities. It requires knowledge of international admissions and UKVI. About the Team This is a key role within a small, friendly and dedicated International team. The role works alongside one other similar role for international student recruitment covering different territories, an international marketing colleague, and reports into our Associate Director International.
