Social Worker - Adults - Mental Health Team
Ackerman Pierce is currently supporting a leading local authority in recruiting a Qualified Social Worker for the Adults Mental Health team based in Kingston (Hybrid). This is a permanent role offering a salary of £40,755 - £45,510 per annum.
Responsibilities include:
1. Working with Vulnerable Adults with Mental Health issues.
2. Undertaking statutory duties related to the care of adults and their carers, as defined in the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health Act 1983.
3. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments and information relevant to the service and the council to ensure timely and appropriate information sharing.
4. Carrying out proportionate risk assessments for customers and carers associated with support plans.
5. Conducting reviews and reassessments of customers with long-term needs within statutory timelines.
6. Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external partners to deliver coordinated and timely services.
7. Performing care management, report writing, and assessments.
8. Managing a caseload of service users.
9. Liaising with other professional bodies within the framework of the Mental Health Act.
10. Ensuring safeguarding adults procedures are followed.
11. Managing self-directed support/personal budgets.
Experience Essential:
1. Post-qualifying experience in a similar Qualified Social Worker - Adults Mental Health role within the UK social care industry.
2. Knowledge of the Care Act (2014) and relevant legislation.
3. Either qualified as an AMHP or willing to train as an Approved Mental Health Professional.
Minimum Requirements:
1. SWE Registration.
2. At least 1 year of post-qualifying experience in UK social care.
3. Enhanced DBS/CRB (can be obtained through us).
4. Eligibility to work in the UK.
