Job Overview

The Home Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of a residential care facility, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care in a safe and supportive environment. This position requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of the unique needs of individuals in assisted living, memory care, and long-term care settings. The Home Manager will work closely with staff, residents, and their families to create a nurturing atmosphere that promotes dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

* Supervise and manage daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
* Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, focusing on their specific needs and preferences.
* Oversee medication administration and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
* Lead and mentor staff, providing training and support to enhance their skills in senior care and dementia care.
* Foster a positive environment for residents by promoting social engagement and community involvement.
* Manage budgets and financial aspects of the home, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate medical services for residents.
* Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
* Maintain open communication with residents' families regarding their loved ones' well-being and progress.

Skills

* Experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is essential.
* Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's care, memory care, dementia care, and senior care is highly desirable.
* Strong management skills with experience in supervising staff in a residential or group home environment.
* Knowledge of operations management principles within long-term care facilities.
* Financial acumen for budgeting and resource allocation is important for effective management.
* Excellent leadership abilities to inspire and motivate staff while fostering teamwork.
