Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least a NEBOSH Certificate and will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment by implementing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and performing risk assessments. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
* Perform root cause analysis on incidents and accidents to prevent future occurrences.
* Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, incidents, and compliance issues for management review.
* Collaborate with all team members to promote a culture of safety within the organisation.
* Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in legislation related to health and safety.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a safety role or similar position, with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
* Excellent report writing skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
* Strong analytical skills, particularly in conducting root cause analysis for incidents.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with diverse teams.
