Job Purpose To manage a caseload of non-litigated Employer’s Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) personal injury claims, delivering high-quality legal advice and client service. The role focuses on progressing claims efficiently through the EL/PL portal and pre-litigation stages, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal standards Key Responsibilities Handle a varied caseload of non-litigated EL/PL claims, primarily within the portal and pre-action protocol stages. Assess liability and quantum, review medical evidence, and draft schedules of special damages. Provide clear, empathetic legal advice to clients and insurers, maintaining regular communication and managing expectations. Liaise with external agencies including medical experts, investigators, and rehabilitation providers. Ensure timely progression of cases in line with the Pre-Action Protocol for Low Value Personal Injury Claims and internal service level agreements. Maintain accurate records using case management systems (e.g., Solcase) and Microsoft Office tools. Contribute to team performance by meeting financial and productivity targets. Promote a positive, inclusive working culture and uphold the firm’s values. Experience and Knowledge Experience in handling non-litigated EL/PL claims, ideally within a personal injury environment. Strong understanding of the EL/PL portal and pre-litigation processes. Excellent client care and communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in case management systems and general IT tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
