Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic organisation, supporting financial operations and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining financial integrity and assisting with various accounting tasks. Prior experience in finance or administration is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right applicant.

Duties

* Assist with day-to-day financial transactions, including processing invoices and receipts
* Support the preparation of financial reports and statements
* Maintain accurate and organised financial records using relevant software
* Reconcile accounts and monitor discrepancies to ensure data accuracy
* Assist with payroll processing and expense claims
* Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding financial matters
* Support the finance team during audits and compliance checks
* Contribute to improving financial procedures and administrative processes

Requirements

* Proven organisational skills with attention to detail
* Good numerical aptitude and basic understanding of accounting principles
* Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel; Xero; Dext; Go Cardless experience with accounting software is desirable
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Previous experience in finance or administrative roles is preferred but not essential
* A recognised qualification in finance, accounting, or related field is advantageous
* Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage time efficiently

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £21,367.50-£30,965.45 per year

Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
