Brackenwood is growing – and we're looking for an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead our busy warehouse operations at our Basingstoke Head Office.
We are a successful, family-run business and a leading installer of replacement windows, doors, and conservatories across Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire, and Oxfordshire. Due to continued growth and demand for our services, this is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to take ownership of the warehouse function and contribute to the ongoing success of our company.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse & Logistics Management:
* Oversee daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
* Manage goods in/out, stock movement, and inventory control
* Ensure accurate picking, packing, and loading of all deliveries
* Coordinate and schedule deliveries to customer locations, ensuring timely dispatch
* Supervise and participate in the delivery of goods to customers when required
* Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free warehouse environment in line with Health & Safety regulations
Team Leadership & Staff Management:
* Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse operatives and drivers
* Allocate duties and monitor team performance to ensure KPIs are met
* Conduct staff briefings and ensure clear communication of daily objectives
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of new team members
* Foster a positive and productive team culture
Customer Service & Communication:
* Liaise with internal departments (sales, installation, customer service) to ensure orders and deliveries run smoothly
* Contact customers directly to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any delivery issues
* Maintain high standards of service and professionalism when interacting with customers
Compliance & Reporting:
* Ensure full compliance with company policies and Health & Safety procedures
* Maintain accurate records of stock, deliveries, and incidents
* Report on warehouse performance, productivity, and issues to senior management
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a Warehouse Manager or similar leadership role
* Experience in a logistics, construction, or home improvement environment is desirable
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
* Confident communicator, both verbal and written
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling (heavy lifting involved)
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
* IT literate – comfortable using warehouse systems, email, and reporting tools
