Our client is a designer and manufacturer of products for the construction industry. Due to growth they require an Electrically biased Maintenance Technician to work from their busy North East facility.
The Role
To assist the engineering team in maintaining all manufacturing equipment
Ensuring all health & safety policies & procedures are adhered to at all times.
Experience with Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron PLC’s
Experience on power press machinery with knowledge of control & programming systems.
Plant & buildings electrical maintenance.
Mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic machine maintenance.
Communication with all engineering & production personnel.
Develop proposals for improvements in process efficiency, response times & costs.
Planned maintenance projects.
Project management.
Maintain & improve housekeeping standards throughout the plant. The Person
Good organisational & Communication skills.
Experience in working at heights.
Good interpersonal skills.
Qualified to minimum ONC & NVQ level 3 / Time served.
A minimum of 5 years experience within a high end manufacturing organisation.
Energetic, practical, self starter who can work with pace as well as creativity.
Proven experience in fault finding & programming of PLC’s.
Self motivated.
Highly computer literate.
Flexible approach.
Positive, can do attitude.
