Location: Cumbria House, Carlisle
Salary: £35,235 - £36,124 per annum
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Temporary until March 2027

Are you passionate about helping young people gain confidence and independence?
Cumberland Council are looking for a dedicated Independent Travel Training Officer to lead and deliver a new travel training programme for children and young people with additional needs. In this rewarding role, you’ll work one-to-one with young people, planning safe travel routes, delivering bespoke training, and supporting them to travel independently to school or college.

We’re looking for someone with experience supporting young people with SEND, strong communication skills, and a person-centred approach. You’ll need a full driving licence and the ability to work flexibly across the Cumberland area. In return, you’ll join a supportive team making a real difference in young lives - helping them build essential life skills and confidence for the future.
