The Opportunity
You will play a central role in supporting and developing our future educators. As part of the college observation team, you will assess and support the development of teaching standards, providing clear, constructive feedback and coaching to encourage continuous professional growth. You will also be involved in preparing for ITE inspections and working with validating partners to ensure programme compliance and excellence.
Your work will contribute directly to the college’s wider Teaching and Learning strategy. You will design and deliver professional development opportunities that encourage innovation, collaboration and high standards of practice.
Ultimately, you will be instrumental in developing confident, capable teachers who can deliver exceptional educational experiences. You will use this knowledge to ensure compliance, quality, and continuous improvement across the teacher training provision.
As a skilled coach and mentor, you will have a history of inspiring, influencing, and motivating others to improve their teaching practice. You will have experience undertaking observations of teaching and learning, making accurate judgements, and using these insights to provide practical solutions and developmental feedback. You will also have experience delivering innovative and well-received staff development sessions, sharing your expertise to raise standards across teams.
You will be proactive in sharing best practice and fostering a collaborative culture where professional learning and reflection are embedded in everyday practice. With a solution-focused approach, you will analyse teaching and learning quality and provide clear, evidence-based ways forward.
