Job Advert: Behaviour Support Officer – Full-Time (Term Time Only)
Location: Burnley
Pay Rate: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Officer to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Burnley. This is a full-time, term-time only position, ideal for someone passionate about supporting children and young people to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students in managing their behaviour positively and constructively.
* Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to implement behaviour support strategies.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who may present challenging behaviour.
* Assist in developing and implementing individual behaviour plans.
* Contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
