Who You Are You are a motivated social worker with a focus on providing high-quality services to adults in the community with mental health disorders. You will work effectively as part of a multi-agency partnership to assess and address the social care needs of mentally disordered offenders. Your expertise in applying legislative frameworks and providing professional leadership and supervision will support your role as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP). What the Job Involves This role involves working within the Adult Social Work Mental Health Team, participating in the AMHP rota to undertake Mental Health Act Assessments. You will collaborate with various partners to identify individual needs, develop support plans, and lead assessments for mentally disordered offenders. Additional responsibilities include providing professional and technical advice, offering practice supervision, supporting continuous professional development, managing complex cases and interventions, and contributing to service improvements and strategic plans. Skills Expert knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983 Application of Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005 Experience with mentally disordered offenders Coaching and mentoring skills High-level written and verbal communication Organizational and time-management skills Ability to work in partnership with multiple stakeholders Experience with multi-agency environments Case management systems proficiency
