Knowledge:
The minimum education requirement is an HNC in Business Administration or Finance. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to research, analyze, and draw conclusions. Experience working with individuals with diverse abilities, and the ability to elicit and explain information, is essential.
Applicants should have a sound knowledge of funding sources and the criteria used by social work divisions and funding organizations.
A working knowledge of relevant legal and financial frameworks is required, such as:
* DWP allowances and benefits, including completion of financial forms and income maximization (Verification Training will be provided).
* The Community Care (Direct Payments)(Scotland) Act.
* The Independent Living Fund and interagency funding levels.
Knowledge of the National Assistance Act for financial assessments and complex queries, and the Community Care & Health (Scotland) Act for care criteria and charging issues, is necessary.
The candidate must stay updated on legislative and statutory changes related to these areas.
Understanding of various organizational roles, procedures, and interdepartmental work in social care, admin, finance, and service provision is required.
Strong IT skills are essential, particularly in creating spreadsheets and reports. The candidate should demonstrate an understanding of client needs and the context of Community Care services.

Salary: Starting at £30,243.53 per annum, based on 36 hours/week, 52 weeks/year
