We are recruiting aDirector of Environment & Regulatory Services at Caerphilly County BoroughCouncil.
Working hours:37 hours per week
Contract Type:Full Time, Permanent
Location:Penallta House

We are seeking a Director to leadthe delivery of the Council’s Environment & Regulatory Service in terms ofboth strategy and management responsibility.You will ensure the delivery ofhigh-quality, customer-focused services within your portfolio area and supportwith the delivery of achieving the Council’s strategic direction andobjectives.
You will be the strategic lead forthe following areas:
* Environmental Health
* Trading Standards
* Licensing
* Registrars
* Sport & Leisure
* Community Centres
* Green Spaces & Cemeteries
* Emergency Planning
* Community Safety
You will set, model, and embed aculture that reflects the organisation’s values and behaviours, developingstrong working relationships to overcome obstacles. Your leadership willsupport staff to deliver services that make a tangible difference to ourcustomers.
For the role, we ask thatyou have:
* A Professional degreequalification in a relevant discipline, as well as a post graduate managementqualification.
* Chartered Membership of arecognised relevant professional institution.
* Knowledge and understanding ofthe range of policy and operational issues confronting Environment andRegulatory services, and local government generally.
* Experience of Senior Managementand Leadership.
