Principal Accountabilities
Farming Conference (Society Event)
· Act as organiser of the Farming Conference, supported by the Society Events Team Leader and General Manager.
· Book catering, services, and seminar speakers (with Board support where required).
· Arrange layouts and liaise with contractors.
· Ensure all health and safety requirements and risk assessments are completed.
· Manage any additional requirements as needed.
· Work alongside the budget set for the event.
Living Land (Society Event)
· From 2025, act as lead organiser of the Living Land educational event, following training and supporting the Society Events Team Leader in the 2024 event.
· Responsibilities include:
* School bookings
* Exhibitor bookings
* Services coordination
* Volunteer steward recruitment, briefing, and management
* Layouts
* Health and safety compliance
* Any other tasks as required
· Work alongside the budget set for the event.
Agricultural Careers Day (Potential New Society Event)
· Organise and deliver the Agricultural Careers Day alongside the Society Events Team Leader.
· Liaise with schools, exhibitors, and speakers to deliver the event.
· Ensure all logistics, layouts, and health and safety requirements are in place.
· Work alongside the budget set for the event.
Kent County Show
· Take responsibility for the Garden Life, Heritage, and Education sections of the Kent County Show.
· Manage exhibitor bookings, layouts, and services within these sections.
· Coordinate with volunteers, contractors, and support teams.
· Ensure risk assessments and health and safety requirements are completed.
· Work alongside the budgets set for each section.
General Responsibilities
· Support the Society Events Team Leader and General Manager in the successful delivery of all Society events.
· Work alongside all budgets set for Society events.
· Complete general administration tasks as required.
· Work collaboratively as part of a small events team.
· Be prepared to take on additional responsibilities as directed.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Experience
· Strong administration, planning, and organisational skills
· Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Experience working within a small team
· Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks
· Experience coordinating events or similar activities
Desirable Skills
· Experience with event logistics (layouts, health & safety, risk assessments)
· Experience liaising with exhibitors, schools, and volunteers
· Ability to represent the organisation professionally at events

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £15,000.00 per year
