The Company
Edmundson Electrical are the UK's leading distributor of branded electrical equipment to trade and industry, selling over 120,000 product lines and employing over 4000 staff across 400 locations throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.
A fast-growing company with a long history of training and developing people in both entry level and managerial roles, Edmundson are now seeking to continue their success by adding entry level talent into their team in Knutsford.
The Role
As a Graduate Field Auditor you will be out and about, visiting various different Edmundson Electrical sites, whilst learning everything to do with systems, procedures and key controls within the business. Your role will be learning how to review the current doings, what risks exist, how to mitigate these and ensure all centralised controls are in place across all areas of the business.
All of this will be done whilst having the option of completing your Level 5 Certification of Internal Auditing, a qualification that will be completed throughout your first 3-4 years in the role that is equivalent to a degree and is fully funded by Edmundson Electrical.
You will liaise daily with other departments and trading locations across Edmundson Electrical businesses as a whole and must feel comfortable speaking with a variety of people, querying things that may not appear correct and implementing new procedures when needed. You will be working across Edmundson's 400+ profit centres; a great opportunity to travel across the UK, visit new places and stay in hotels (all fully expensed).
The work rotation for the tasks above will be approximately 6 weeks completing field based duties and then 2 weeks in the office completing duties such as internal audit tasks, remote transaction reviews and stock take reviews. Candidates must be willing to travel and could potentially spend up to 3-4 nights a week away from home while on field based duties (all of which will be fully expensed by the company). Although you will have specific duties, Edmundson are looking for candidates that are happy to help in any area that is needed, being a team player and chipping in as and when you can! The more you are willing to get involved in things you may be unsure of, the more you will be likely to learn!
Progression into a Senior Internal Auditor and many other areas within the wider business. The Audit function will give you an overall grounding of the whole business; previous graduates have moved into areas such as Profit Centre Management, Credit Control and many more.

5. Educated to degree level (preferred)
6. Full clean UK driving license is essential
7. Keen to travel and meet people face to face - this will involve over night stays
8. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently

And the package for this position?
11. £26,000 base salary rising to £29,000 after probationary period (35 hour contract)
