Economics Teacher

You would be working in a successful Business and Social Sciences department teaching Economics at GCSE and A-Level. The department is well-established and highly regarded within the school, with strong academic outcomes and high levels of student engagement.

Students are encouraged to develop analytical thinking, commercial awareness and evaluative skills through a broad and engaging curriculum covering microeconomics, macroeconomics and current economic issues. Lessons are designed to encourage discussion, independent research and confident essay-writing skills.

The department works collaboratively to deliver high-quality teaching and provide targeted support to students of all abilities. Teachers are encouraged to contribute positively to enrichment opportunities including enterprise activities, intervention programmes and wider school events.

The School provides excellent CPD opportunities, strong mentoring support for ECTs and clear progression pathways for experienced teachers. Staff wellbeing and professional development are highly valued throughout the school community.
