We are looking for passionate English tutors to help children develop their literacy skills and confidence.
This rewarding role involves working with a diverse range of learners, including those who are Looked After Children (LAC), educated other than at school (EOTAS), and pupils with SEMH or SEND needs, as well as those at risk of exclusion.
Tutors will provide tailored, engaging sessions that support both academic progress and personal development. This may include working outside a mainstream school environment, such as in the home, local libraries, or other public venues, depending on each pupil’s needs.

The Role:
* Planning and delivering engaging English sessions tailored to individual needs.
* Supporting reading, writing, and communication skills.
* Providing constructive feedback and planning next steps to aid progress.
* Using pupils’ interests to motivate and take a child-centred approach.
* Applying different behavioural strategies to maintain engagement.
Tutor Requirements:
* Professional teaching qualifications (UK QTS) are preferred.
* Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH needs.
* 2 professional references covering at least 24 months from the last 10 years.
* An enhanced child workforce DBS or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
