Role Overview
The Governance Manager (Third Parties and New Services) plays a pivotal role in ensuring Bupa Health Clinics maintains high‑quality, safe, and compliant care delivery across all third‑party providers, onsite corporate clinics, and newly integrated services. The postholder will lead governance, regulatory and quality oversight activities, ensuring full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and corporate requirements. The role will support due diligence, onboarding, and integration of new providers and services, as well as contributing to acquisition activities.
You’ll help us make health happen by:
1. Maintaining and continually enhancing the governance framework ensuring regulatory compliance across all third‑party providers and new service lines.
2. Ensuring operational practices across clinics and onsite locations align with applicable regulatory standards, proactively identifying gaps and mitigating risks.
3. Providing expert support to governance, quality, and operational teams to ensure regulatory compliance for third‑party providers and new services.
4. Acting as the primary regulatory contact for partners, ensuring service offerings fully meet regulatory requirements and associated processes are embedded effectively.
5. Leading governance, clinical, regulatory, and quality due diligence for new providers and acquisitions.
6. Ensuring governance standards are met when mobilising new commercial and corporate onsite clinics.
7. Overseeing and developing clinical governance frameworks for third‑party and new service lines to ensure safe, effective and high‑quality care delivery.
8. Leading robust clinical governance due diligence for new services, providers, and acquisitions.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
9. Educated to degree level or equivalent.
10. Extensive Knowledge of CQC/HIS and HIW and other regulatory bodies.
11. Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
12. Excellent stakeholder management & communication skills, including influencing and negotiating.
13. Ability to demonstrate customer led thinking.
14. Experience of leading and implementing audits.
15. Experience of regulatory compliance across the United Kingdom.
16. Experience of quality improvement project(s).
17. Experience of using incident and risk management systems.
18. Experience of mobilising new services
Desirable
19. Professional registration; NMC, HCPC or GMC.
20. Formal Root Cause Analysis training.
21. Experience of compliance auditing.
22. Experience in project management.
23. Experience with quality improvement projects.
24. Teaching and assessing qualification e.g., ENB 998 (or equivalent).
